Every Parochial Church Council (PCC) takes seriously the care for all in the community, including children and vulnerable people. This means that where possible we appoint Parish Safeguarding Officers who are the first point of call if there are any concerns about the safety of someone living in the parish. Their safety can be compromised because they live alone in remote places, or have physical or mental health problems, or because they are at risk of abuse or finding themselves in situations where they are being abused in any kind of way.
At every PCC meeting we review any concerns raised.
The Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO) for Tredington & Stoke Orchard is Mrs Paddy Grimshaw 01684 294053, and for Forthampton Mrs Mary-Ann Precce 01452 840621.
Any concerns about people living in those parishes can in the first instance be reported to them.
The parishes of Deerhurst and Apperley, and Chaceley do not have a PSO and concerns can be reported to the priest in charge Revd Ilse Ferwerda on 01452 780880 or email apperleypriest@gmail.com.
Alternatively, concerns can be reported to the Diocese of Gloucester
